Guaranteed Waterproof |
For many people, Timberland and waterproof are synonymous. Since the introduction of their first waterproof leather boot, they have been setting the industry standard for what waterproofing really means. When your boot or shoe is Timberland waterproof, it's guaranteed that water cannot get in.
|
Seam-sealed Waterproof Construction Outer seams of the footwear are sealed with latex to provide an impenetrable barrier against water. Seam-sealing is used in conjunction with waterproof leather, guaranteeing a watertight seal. |
Climate Control |
Timberland® footwear is designed to keep the foot comfortable in any weather. Their moisture-wicking, breathable linings help move moisture created by foot perspiration away from the foot for dry, comfortable feet. Their insulations are specially chosen to meet the demands of the season, from the first chill to extreme cold.
Cement-Lasted Construction |
Rugged Boots Without A
Rugged Fit
As tough as a boot gets. Known to be long-lasting and durable, cement-lasted
construction was built into their original Timberland® yellow boot -- and
they continue to use it today. You'll also find this versatile construction
in other rugged boots, rugged casual and dress shoes in their line.
- The leather upper material is molded around a foot-shaped form (a "last") and cemented to a "tuckboard" for exceptional support and fit.
- The upper is then attached to the midsole and outsole.
- The midsole and arch support shank provide stability.
Moccasin Construction |
One of the original footwear
constructions is still one of the best.
Footwear made with Moccasin Construction is supremely lightweight, flexible
and comfortable. It is an excellent choice for all-day wear at home, work or
outdoors.
- The upper is made of one piece of leather that surrounds the foot and gently molds to the foot's natural shape over time.
- The midsole is stitched to the upper and the outsole is then cemented to the midsole for a permanent bond.
- Hand sewn using durable or heavyweight nylon thread for durability; hand-stitching lasts two to three times longer than machine stitching.
- 360° rawhide lacing around the foot and heel for an excellent fit.
